New! Patient Portal!

Mandates included in the Affordable Care Act of 2014 require that our patients be registered on Northeast Orthopaedic’s Patient Portal so that we may communicate electronically regarding your care.  Please register prior to your next appointment, if you have not already done so.  If you need assistance with this process, please contact our office at 203-755-9166 and we would be happy to help you.

The Patient Portal will allow you to update or complete your health history forms, your registration forms, pay your bill online, make inquiries regarding procedures, appointments, or billing, request refills on your prescriptions, and streamline communications.

Parents will need to create a separate account for their children.

Center for Rehabilitation
Hand and Rehabilitation Services is our rehabilitation facility which specializes in all facets of evaluation, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries and conditions. The primary goal is the return of our patients to their pre-injury status, or improvement of their condition in an efficient, rapid and compassionate fashion through individual, "one-on-one" treatment.

Founded in 1983, the center is staffed by Dr. Hendrikson and Dr. Beauvais and physical and occupational therapists. Their combined professional experience is in excess of 90 years.

What We Do
Regular staff meetings between the therapists and physicians assure structured, custom treatment in a timely fashion for our patients. Meetings include educational programs with an emphasis on national quality standards, patient satisfaction, and optimal outcomes. The center is at the forefront of the delivery of physical medicine services in the Waterbury area.

All therapy services required by the physicians for their patients are conveniently available at one location in a modern and bright environment. With the interaction between insurance carriers, therapists and physicians, our patients achieve the highest level of care.

Our center's health professional provide comprehensive and coordinated care to injured patients of all ages, including athletes, those suffering from work-related injuries, post fracture patients and post surgical patients.

Training in the latest techniques of massage, mobilization, and the treatment of complex wounds allows therapists to achieve maximal benefits for our patients from therapy in a state-of-the-art environment. Emphasis is placed on preventative techniques. Therapeutic exercise equipment with computerized features, ultrasound and iontophoresis machines, whirlpools and physical capacity evaluation equipment is utilized at the center.

The center has a comprehensive program of industrial rehabilitation designed to return injured employees to full capacity rapidly and prudently. Liasion with company rehabilitation nurses allows the design of alternative work tracks and modified duty to accommodate injured workers. The therapists have specialized training in work hardening programs and job site analysis. They recognize the need to prevent the recurrence of injury in the work place. By utilizing their resources and experience, our therapists strive to reduce the costs of compensated injury.
